Call to order at 3:33pm
Principal Report
-Construction is going well. Construction team very responsive to make sure that everyone is safe.
-New building going up will have 2nd, 4th and 5th next year. 1st and 2nd grade will be on ground floors in the buildings.
-Hired Science Garden teacher, Sarah Johnston. She is a mom at LCM
Teacher Report
-Sign up going well for jail break
-Ticket e-mail went out
-approx. $2500 raised for Texas from student council. Weill send gift cards as they requested. They will e-mail us when it is received.
-Conferences are next week
President Report
- Quote was on a life of a child
- PTO board member of the month: Wendy
- Facebook: it is a parent run page. It is not a place where we promote businesses. Gretchen and VIcki are the administrators of the page. If you feel something in inappropriate you can flag it or tell them.
- Voting: Rosie Caracas was voted in as the co-chair for Art Docent. Lori moved to vote Rosie on the board. Debbie seconded it. All were in favor.
Active Fundraising
-Auction is live on Friday for Carnival baskets. It will run Friday-Monday
-Debbie asked about emergency exits for carnival and Klimas said that all gates on the lower field and 1 ramp off to black top
-New signs will be posted to promote carnival
-Cindi asked about portable bathrooms on the lower field and 2 will be available
-Tomorrow at 4pm is the last time to donate for Wave to be entered for Apple watch drawing
Passive Fundraising
-Sweet Swap: fliers will go home 10/25 and we will have a big push the week before
-Hulse dropped off a pumpkin to decorate for a contest. The winner will get $1500. We need to have people go to their Facebook and instagram then "like it".
Parent doing ours will decorate it like an owl. Gretchen said you don't have to like their page to vote. Gretchen said she thinks she can pick up the link and attach it to e-mail blast rather that posting on our Facebook page so our boundaries of business promoting are not crossed.
Communications
-Vicki thanked everyone for getting the e-blast information and website information to her.
-Please look our the website and make sure your area is good. If any problems let her know.
Activities
-Silver graphics mailed Tuesday
-Let LeeAnne know that the check from silver graphic coming for $1047
-Welcomed Rosie as co-chair for art
-Vicki B. added that the kids are loving art and all agreed that Tori is great.
Room Parent Coordinators
-Send e-mails that you need sent out and they will forward to the room parents.
-Class with best decorated booth will get a dance party recess. Guest judge will be voting.
Treasurer
-LeeAnne was not present
-Vicki B. noted that last year end of September wave fund was $16,500 and this year it is $26,000.
-There were no questions on the budget
